Teacher indicted for sexual battery on student


Katherine Robbins, amath teacher at New Hope High School, has been indicted by a grand jury for allegedly engaging in improper relations with a 17-year-old male student.

Robbins, who is a married mother of two children, faces a felony charge of sexual battery. According to one of her students, Robbins often flirted with male classmates, even to the point of giving them hugs and inappropriately touching them in other ways. Robbins has been on administrative leave since allegations surfaced in March.
