Okla. 3rd grade teacher took pictures, video of naked female students

Kimberly Crain, 48-year-old third-grade teacher at McLoud Elementary School, Shawnee, Oklahoma, has been arrested and accused of taking inappropriate pictures of her teen age students.

The investigation of case began last month when a parent contacted police and informed that her daughter had been invited to Crain’s residence for a pizza party along with other teen age girls. During the party they were told to dress up just in baras and panties and Crain took photos of them wile they decorated the christmas tree and ate pizza. Crain also videotaped girls dancing in their underwear. A detective secured the warrant to search Crain’s residence for computer equipment, cell phones, digital storage devices, and other material. Police obtained deleted photos and video off of Crain's cell phone showing juvenile females' exposed genitals, buttocks, and private parts.

According to prosecutors, at least five new or potential victims have now contacted police and investigation is ongoing but formal charges have not yet been filed.

Photographs found in the case so far show the young girls in bras and panties in images that, according to investigators, could only be described as “sexual in nature”. Other images not from the Christmas party also were lifted from Crain’s phone, and according to the arrest affidavit, they were images of females with exposed genitals and buttocks. The case has now become a joint investigation between Shawnee police and the FBI, and the U.S. Attorney’s office, state officials and his office.

Allegedly Crain, while teaching in her classroom at McLoud, was using Skype over the Internet to have her students visit with an older man known as “Uncle G,” and that Crain allegedly took photos of students posing on desks in the classrooms.
Smothermon said authorities are trying to find out who “Uncle G” is to determine if any images were sent to him.

Crain remained jailed after the judge set a $1 million bond. Crain was initially booked into the Pottawatomie County Public Safety Center but is now being held at the Lincoln County jail for her own safety as an employee at the jail in Shawnee is the mother of one of the victims in this case.
