Jennifer Riojas, 27-year-old science teacher formerly at Carter-Riverside High School, Fort Worth, Texas, has has admitted sexual acts with a student and pleaded guilty to engaging in an inappropriate relationship with a 16-year-old male.

In the fall of 2010, a 16-year-old student went to Fort Worth police saying he had a sexual relationship with 27-year-old Jennifer Riojas. He claimed he went to police because Riojas was pregnant and he thought the child could be his. According to the unnamed boy he and Riojas met and had sex at diferent hotels near Northeast Mall on two separate occasions. The student told police they had sexual intercourse for the first time when he was hospitalized for a football injury and Riojas came to visit him in hospital.

Under the plea agreement, Riojas must forfeit her teaching certificate and undergo a sex-offender evaluation and, if necessary, undergo treatment. Riojas will transfer her probation to another county where she is raising her child.

Paternity for Miss Riojas's baby through testing has yet to be established, but according to Riojas attorney "if you do the math, the teenager could not be the child's father as their last sexual encounter was in January of 2009 and she gave birth exactly one year later".
