Wife of convicted sex offender accuse of violent sex crimes

Jodi Kirkpatrick, 42-year-old science teacher and a former foster parent from Artesia, New Mexico, has been arrested and accused of sexually assaulting several foster children in her care.

Police arrested Kirkpatrick, who is also known as Jodi Glascoe, was arrested last week and is charged with five counts of criminal sexual penetration and five counts of kidnapping.

Kirkpatrick's ex-husband, Richard Glascoe is a convicted sex offender serving a 25-year sentence for raping three 7-year-olds while they were in foster care years ago. They have since divorced. Court documents allege from 2003 to 2006, a 6-year-old was forced to watch and participate in sexual acts with Kirkpatrick and Glascoe, while in foster care. Child was allegedly handcuffed in the Glascoe's bedroom and threatened with a gun and knife on different occasions. Court documents state the child was also forced to watch the couple sexually assault a toddler.

The Artesia Schools Superintendent confirmed Kirkpatrick is on administrative leave pending an investigation.

When the crimes allegedly happened, police said the couple had at least seven children in the home ranging from a one-year-old to a 17-year-old.
