New Hamsphire Woman Accused of Making Child Porn with Her Daughter

Lisa Biron, 43-year-old lawyer from Manchester, New Hampshire, who is  closely associated with an anti-gay Christian defense group, has been found guilty of child pornography after she videotaped her own daughter having sex with two men on several occasions.

Biron faces at least 25 years in prison after a jury convicted her earlier this month. She was arrested by the FBI in November 2012, and had been charged with eight felony counts after police said she videotaped men having sex with her 14-year-old daughter. She allegedly was also accused of making a cellphone video of herself having sex with her daughter. During her trial, Lisa Biron was recorded telling her father that her young daughter had a part in the incident, and that it was “all her fault.” She stood trial along with the two men involved in the video, and it took the jury less than an hour to convict all three.

Federal prosecutors said Biron transported a teen girl from Manchester to Ontario, Canada, on May 25 and coerced her into engaging in sexual acts with another person that were then recorded. Prosecutor Helen Fitzgibbon made the case for Biron to be held without bond because other juveniles have been subjected to Biron’s sexual activity and drug use; witnesses have testified to seeing Biron in possession of ecstasy, marijuana and cocaine; and Biron texted a friend saying she may flee to Cuba.

The police began investigating Biron on Sept. 29 when a man came into the Manchester Police Department and reported that he had seen pornography on her computer. Police declined to say how the man knew Biron.

The Alliance Defending Freedom, the anti-gay group Biron is associated with, is "a group of reactionary Christian attorneys lawyers pressing litigation to curb reproductive rights and block the freedom to marry," according to Queerty. ADF was founded in 1994 by more than 30 prominent Christian leaders, including Focus on the Family’s James Dobson and American Family Association’s Donald Wildmon, among others, Queerty reports. The group has been fighting against gay rights for over 18 years. As Biron's case broke out and she was arrested, ADF removed all traces of her from their website and Facebook page. They even clamed in a "CBS News" report that Biron never worked for them.

According to an LGBT blog called Joe.My.God, ADF is continuing to remove her name from their site and Facebook, and is deleting any mention of her name by users on their page.  While it is true that Biron might not have been a formal employee of ADF, she did participate and was a member in their "Honor Corps," according to John Aravosis at Americablog. The Honor Corps is a group that recognizes allied attorneys who participate in 450 hours of pro bono services for the group.

Lisa Biron will be sentenced in April.
