Woman Accused of Drugging Boy Before Sex Acts

Carah Bosco, 27-year-old woman from Naugatuck, Connecticut, has been accused of giving anxiety medication to a teenage boy and having him perform a sexual act on her.

Bosco, of 1081 New Haven Road, faces charges of second-degree sexual assault, risk of injury to a child, second-degree reckless endangerment and illegal distribution of a prescription. According to police, Bosco gave the juvenile, who is a acquaintance, a prescription drug and had him perform a sexual act on her.

The teen’s parents had taken him to the doctor after noticing that he was acting strangely, police said. The boy, who is in his early teens, told the doctor about anxiety medication given by older woman and sex act with her.

Police did not know the exact name of the anxiety medication she gave the boy, but said it was similar to Xanax, which is prescribed for anxiety and panic disorders. If convicted of the most serious crime, second-degree sexual assault, a Class B felony, Bosco faces a mandatory minimum sentence of nine months in prison. She could face up to 20 years.
