Alabama Substitute Teacher Accused of Fondling Male Student

Jennifer Marie Morton, 34-year-old former substitute teacher at Albertville High School, Albertville, Alabama, has been arrested after being accused of sexual misconduct with a student while at school.

Morton is out of jail on bond after being arrested last Thursday. She is charged with misdemeanor sexual misconduct. According to Albertville High School Principal Paul McAbee, Morton filled in as a substitute teacher for three weeks in January. Morton worked as a substitute before being dismissed in February for poor performance. School administrators were aware of any misconduct, according to Kristi Pair, the director of teaching and learning with the Albertville school system.

Albertville police spokesman Jamie Smith said Morton is accused of inappropriate conduct with a 17-year-old boy. The alleged sexual act(s) occurred at Albertville High School. Police believe the woman was locked in a classroom with a 17-year-old student, and they were allegedly kissing fondling each other.
