Volunteer Coach Aide Accused of Sex with Underage Wrestler

Colleen Lewandowski, 27-year-old woman from Franklin, Wisconsin, has been accused of engaging in sex with a 16-year-old boy.

She faces three counts of having intercourse with a child 16 or older, a misdemeanor.

Lewadowski allegedly met the young by when she was still married and was helping her husband coach wrestling. According to the criminal complaint, the boy told police Lewandowski used to assist at wrestling practices and meets last school year, and that he saw her again at a match in February, when he was no longer on the team. She told him about her marital problems and began communicating with him on Facebook, and then texting. The teen told police he began staying at Lewandowski's apartment, and having sex with her one month after they began chatting. They “began kissing and touching each other and then went to the bedroom where they engaged in sexual intercourse.” This allegedly happened multiple times in the month. Lewandowski said she would have the boy over to her place while her husband was staying at a friends place.

Lewandowski admitted to police that she did pick the boy up at school or near his home on several occasions, that he spent nights at her apartment and they engaged in sexual relations. Her attorney filed a motion seeking to suppress her statements because police questioned her at the police station for nearly 15 minutes before announcing her Miranda rights to a lawyer.

If convicted, Lewandowski faces up to two years and three months in jail. She  is expected back in court on Thursday, August 1st.
